Anhydrous & Monohydrate

We supply Citric Acid Anhydrous (CAA — water-free, 99.5%+ purity) and Citric Acid Monohydrate (CAM — one molecule of water, 99.5%+ purity). Both food grade and industrial grade are available, sourced primarily from China with full certification.

Anhydrous is water-free and preferred for dry blends, powder formulations, and effervescent tablets. Monohydrate contains one water molecule and is preferred for liquid formulations, beverages, and confectionery. Anhydrous dissolves faster, while monohydrate is more stable in humid conditions.

Critical parameters include Assay (min 99.5%), Moisture (anhydrous below 0.5%, monohydrate 7.5–9.0%), Sulphate ash (below 0.05%), and heavy metals (below 5 ppm). We provide a full COA with third-party lab analysis per lot.

Standard documents include COA, FSSAI compliance certificate, MSDS, Halal, and Kosher certificates. On request, we provide Non-GMO declarations and ISO 9001 compliance documents.

It is widely used in Food & Beverages (preservative/acidulant), Pharmaceuticals (effervescent tablets), Cosmetics (pH adjuster), and industrial cleaning (descaling agent).

Chinese citric acid dominates the market due to competitive pricing and high-quality fermentation processes. European origin (e.g., Jungbunzlauer) is often preferred by pharmaceutical manufacturers requiring specific documentation or brand-level compliance.

MOQ is 1 MT. Standard packaging is 25 kg PP woven bags. Full container loads of 24–25 MT are available. Store in cool, dry conditions below 25°C to prevent clumping.

Shelf life is 24 months from the manufacture date in original sealed packaging. Sealed storage is critical to prevent caking, especially for the more sensitive monohydrate grade.

Payment is RTGS against loading — full payment by RTGS/NEFT before or at the time of loading the consignment. This applies to all domestic buyers for the first orders.
